I’m Jim Fuhrmann, the person behind @TheAspiringChef, where I share curated information on culinary arts and healthy cooking on ViewMoreInfo.com—a platform I launched in 2004 as a personal project. Over the years, I’ve come to appreciate the vital role that food and nutrition play in living well. After 35 years in technology and real estate photography, I’m returning to my culinary roots. My entry into the culinary field began decades ago in the restaurant industry, where I worked as a short-order, prep, and line cook under classically trained chefs from Johnson & Wales University (JWU) and the Culinary Institute of America (CIA). Though my career shifted to tech, I continued learning through practice and self-study, and most recently, via an intensive self-paced culinary arts training program.
